Community, Service, and the Joy of Reading at Bud Kelley Park

At Above the Net, we believe that reading has the power to open doors, inspire dreams, and strengthen communities. That's why we're committed to creating opportunities that encourage children and families to develop a lifelong love of reading—both on and off the court.

Today was a wonderful day at the Little Library at Bud Kelley Park! We were grateful to welcome four firefighters from Henry County Fire Department Station 16, who generously volunteered their time to help restock the library shelves. They jumped right in, demonstrating that serving the community extends far beyond emergency response.

Their kindness and willingness to support literacy made a meaningful impact. Moments like these remind us that when community partners come together, we can create spaces where children are encouraged to read, learn, and grow.

We are incredibly thankful to the team at Henry County Fire Department Station 16 for their continued service—both in protecting our community and in helping spread the joy of reading. Their support reflects the spirit of collaboration that makes our community stronger.
