Above the Net had the pleasure of being the first organization to bring tennis to Tanger Outlet as we continued to execute our mobile Pop Up Tennis program aimed at bringing tennis to our community wherever they are....shopping, dining, relaxing!! In collaboration with Tanger's annual Back to School Bash, Above the Net along with Stuff the Bus, Live DJ, Food Trucks, Henry County, Blazing Mobile Entertainment, and other vendors came together to offer the community opportunities to get school supplies, learn, and enjoy new experiences.
With a steady stream of kids (and some adults) seizing the opportunity to try tennis ....and wow did they ever...we continued to fulfill our mission of introducing as many people as possible to tennis....not just for the sport itself, but for college scholarships, building life skills, promoting healthy living and strengthening the community!!!
Thanks to USTA Southern for awarding Above the Net the Innovation Grant to enable this program. Be on the lookout for other Pop Up Tennis opportunities, right here in Henry County!
