USTA NJTL Leadership Camp: New Orleans!

Above the Net was able to send two students to the 6th Annual USTA NJTL LEADERSHIP CAMP!! This year's camp was in New Orleans, Louisiana and 38 students across 16 NJTLs were in attendance over the 4 days including 2 kids from Above the Net,l: Sampson Haywood and Gabriela Lohr. The kids were able to experience not only great tennis and competition, but also a cultural emersion into all things New Orleans and also learning about Juneteenth! The Camp was filled with activities that ran from 7am to 11pm each day and included tennis drills and competition, a Juneteenth quizz, team tennis based competition, canoeing, a steam boat cruise, Mardi gras tours. PTR training, a Xavier University tour, and bowling! The Teens had a fantastic time and can't wait til the next camp!!
